A smashing success!!


A rousing Pip! Pip! to all who attended. The second Philadelphia Tweed Ride went off without a hitch, and merriment abounded.

The Philadelphia Tweed Ride is a semi-annual leisurely ride through the most historical city in the union, followed by old-timey games and merry-making to the highest degree.

Saturday November 7th, 2009

Dapper attire is required.
Also, we'd like to encourage you to pick up a bell for your handlebars if you don't already have one. Most of our fine local bicycle shoppes have them available for mere toppins. We'll be pedalling through some areas likely to be swarming with Yanks and tourists and it would be a razzle to send up a chorus of the ringy-dingy!

Schedule of Events:
  • 12:00pm: Meet at Water Works (behind the Art Museum) to sign in, take photographs and generally mill about.
  • 1:00pm: The Tweed Ride begins!
  • 4pm: Ending soiree at the Institute (12th and Green Sts) -- All are welcome to join us at this point - even if you don't dress up and ride.
